If you are bored with the monotonous look of your Gmail, Google has introduced various themes to dress it up!! Under Settings, you should find a Themes tab (I am yet to see it myself). If you do not yet see it, Google promises that "We'll be rolling out themes to everyone over the next couple of days, so if you don't see them yet, check back soon."
P.S. Yahoo had introduced the theme culture couple of years back..isn't it?
